FAQ
Can I merge files with different formats or sample rates?
Yes. Each file is decoded and resampled to a common format before joining, so a 44.1 kHz MP3 and a 48 kHz WAV merge seamlessly.
Which output format should I choose?
MP3 plays on virtually any device. M4A (AAC) keeps slightly better quality at the same bitrate. WAV is lossless but large. Opus is smallest but is not supported everywhere.
Is there a gap or click between the joined parts?
No. The decoded audio is concatenated sample by sample, so the joints are seamless.
Are my audio files uploaded to a server?
No. Decoding, merging and encoding all run locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
