FAQ
How should I choose the interval?
For smooth animation analysis or slow-motion review use 0.1–0.5s. For storyboarding or finding a moment in a long video, 1–5s is plenty. For a quick overview of an hours-long recording, 10s or more keeps the frame count manageable.
JPG, PNG or WebP?
JPG is smallest and fine for most uses. PNG is lossless — best when frames will be edited or zoomed into. WebP sits in between: near-PNG quality at a smaller size.
Why does the tool warn about large frame counts?
At short intervals a long video can produce hundreds of frames, and decoding every one takes time on your own device. The warning appears above 200 estimated frames — increase the interval if you do not need that many.
Are my videos uploaded to a server?
No. All decoding and image encoding runs locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
